Borax SOM

Borax SOM module
The Mpression Borax SOM is a system on module card integrating an Altera® Cyclone® V
SoC FPGA and necessary memory, power and external interfaces on a very small size card.
The Cyclone V
SoC FPGA tightly integrates two ARM Cortex-A9 cores and FPGA fabric, enabling easy development of complex systems with advanced application processing and flexible hardware using FPGA resources.
By utilizing pin compatible packages, users can pick optimal FPGA and memory capacities for each phase of a design project, starting with a larger device for production and then picking the optimal price/performance option for mass production.
Borax Development Kit

Borax Development Kit
The Mpression Borax Development Kit uses a base board that accepts a Borax SOM and which provides various external interfaces is also available, enabling parallel development of system software and hardware/FPGA design, resulting in shorter development times.
The Borax Development Kit also includes a touch-sensitive LCD display panel that provider user input and output during the development process. The connectors for the Borax SOM and the input/output connectors and buttons are still accessable with the LCD panel mounted on the base board.
